Νέα έκδοση λογισμικού Gemini για dreambox (4.40)

Η νέα έκδοση του γνωστού σε όλους firmware για Dreambox, Gemini κυκλοφόρησε μόλις σήμερα. Το blog πριν βιαστείτε να το εγκαταστήσετε οφείλει να σας υπενθυμίσει τα όσα ισχύουν για τις εκδόσεις από την 4.31 και μετέπειτα και τα προβλήματα με τους μη γνησίους δέκτες. Παράταυτα οφείλουμε να αναγνωρίσουμε ότι τα λογισμικά αυτά είναι ίσως τα καλύτερα που κυκλοφορούν σήμερα. Έτσι δεν μπορούμε να τα προτείνουμε για όσους είναι σίγουροι ότι ο δέκτης τους είναι γνήσιος.

We'd like to thank everybody who paricipated in the "Gemini suggestion" thread. Unfortunatly many things can not be realized from our side.

This images doesn't contain any keys or softcams.

Backups or other modified Images are not from us and won't be supported!Gemini Images may only be used on receivers of the manufacturer Dream-Multimedia-TV.

The use of this Image is on your own risk.

Recommendation:

if you don't install the Image in flash memory, the flash image shouldn't be of a old version.

A swap file/partition (>= 16MB) should be presentif several processes running in background. We assume no liability for direct or indirect damage.

cccam 2.0.9.

Κυκλοφόρησε νέα έκδοση του αγαπημένου από πολλούς χρηστές dreambox emulator cccam 2.0.9.

Η έκδοση για την ώρα διατίθεται στην απλή μορφή και όχι σε tar.gz για την απευθείας εγκατάσταση σε κάθε immage.

To blog προτείνει σαφώς τη χρήση του εν λόγω emulator, αφού είναι ίσως από τους καλυτέρους που κυκλοφορούν και μπορούν να συμβάλουν ώστε ο δέκτης να είναι συμβατός και να μπορέσει να διαβάσει την original κάρτα της νόβα.

Πάγια βέβαια συμβουλή αν δεν είστε του ”ψαξίματος” είναι να αφήνετε να περάσει κάποιος καιρός και να φαίνεται αν ένα emulator (και όχι μόνο ) είναι σταθερό στη λειτουργία του, ώστε τότε να το εγκαθιστάτε στον δέκτη. Έτσι για την ώρα η προτάση είναι η χρήση των παλαιότερων εκδόσεων 2.0.5 και 2.0.8 που έχουν αποδειχθεί και σταθερές στη χρήση.

Τα νέα δεδομένα που φέρνει πάντως η καινούργια έκδοση σύμφωνα με τους κατασκευαστές είναι :

Νεα settings για dreambox και κινητό Πιάτο (21 Μαη)

Τα settings για dreambox και κινητό πιάτο 53est -30 west ανανεωμένα ως προς τις 13 μοίρες ανατολικά με νέες κατηγορίες στα bouquets.

Θυμίζω πως είναι φτιαγμένα για κινητό πιάτο 1.80 τοποθετημένο στην Κρήτη αλλά φυσικά μπορούν να χρησιμοποηθουν σε όλες τις εγκαταστάσεις με dreambox….

Νεα εκδοση emulator για dreambox

Νεα εκδοση του πολυ ενδιαφεροντος emulator newcs (βρισκεται ακομα σε beta εκδοση).

Chameleon has been completely rewritten.We now use our own encryption algorithm, instead of ssl. It seemed that the embedded libraries meant for small devices, just arentstable enough for our use. With this change we re 90% of the segfaults in newcs.

Chameleon and Chameleon2 is *NOT* compatible, config section has changed to to reflect that.The principles is *almost* the same as in Chameleon v1.

We no longer have distributed card lists though, a client has to scan the netfor a given caid/provider. ATM. _only_ mgcamd works with chameleon, you have to set 1 in the newcamd user, and itwill get a bunch of virtual cards that it can use. (the autoscan and more dynamic way of doing this is beeing worked on).

This is still a work in progress :o)

Νέο image για τον dreambox 7000 από την SifTeam (SifTeam-1.9.1-7000)

Νέο immage κυκλοφόρησε η SifTeam για τους dreambox 7000

To blog πάντως συνεχίζει για καθημερινή χρήση να προτείνει την παλιά και σταθερή έκδοση του Gemini 4.10 που στην πράξη με τις δοκιμές έχει βγει η πιο σταθερή σε σχέση με τις επόμενες για τον 7000. (και φυσικά δεν έχει και προβλήματα με time bomb που χρησιμοποίησε η Gemini στις τελευταίες εκδόσεις, όπως αναφέρεται σε παλιότερο άρθρο..).

Programmi:Per avviare programmi personali, valido per tutte le immagini SifTeam: Aggiungere il comando voluto in /var/etc/rcS.d/S99user_start.sh in fondo al file (ci sono gia' presenti diversi esempi pronti all'uso, basta decommentarli rimuovendo il simbolo #)

Tips:Per entrare nel Pannello di Controllo se ci si trova nel Pannello Emu basta premere il bottone giallo, funzione aggiunta per l'uso nella WebIf.Per aprire il menu' Script mentre ci si trova nel Pannello di Controllo basta premere lo 0 (zero).

Dreambox settings 06/May/2008

Στα πλαίσια της προσφοράς αυτού του blog, ανεβάζουμε κάποια settings όπως έχουν δουλευτεί για δεκτή dream box με κινητό πιάτο 1.80 και λήψη από 53est έως 30 west.
Τα settings θα ανανεώνονται συχνά, ως προς την οργάνωση των favorites και την λήψη νέων καναλιών στο μέτρο του δυνατού.

Η περιοχή λήψης για την οργάνωση των favorites είναι η περιοχή του Ρεθύμνου στην Κρήτη αυτό όμως δεν αποκλείει την χρήση τους οπουδήποτε.

Time bomb και Gemini team

Πολλα σχολια κουστικαν τον τελευταιο καιρο μετα την αποφαση της ομαδας Gemini να βαλει time-bomb στο τελευταιο λογισμικο της 4.31.

Η εν λογω εκδοση firmware πρακτικα λειτουργησε ως βομβα και απενεργοποιησε οσους δεκτες δεν ηταν γνησιοι dreambox. Το μπλοκαρισμα των εν λογω δεκτων ειναι τετοιο που ο μη γνησιος δεκτης μπορει να επανερθει μονο με τη χρηση jtag και την αποφυγη χρησης του εν λογω λογισμικου στο μελλον. Αυτο πρακτικα σημαινει για τον τελικο χρηστη μια διαδικασια που σπανια μπορει να κανει μονος του (προύποθετει ανοιγμα του δεκτη και χρηση jtag).
Δεδομενου της κυκλοφοριας στην αγορα παμπολλων αντιγραφων του γνησιου dreambox 500 προεκυψε ενα μικρο χαος.


Τα ζητηματα που προκυπτουν απο μια τετοια ενεργεια αυτης της ομαδας ειναι μεγαλα..

Μας κανει να αναρωτιωμαστε για τη λογικη μιας τετοιας πραξης.

Μια τετοια πραξη δεν ηρθε απο την ιδια την dream multimedia (κατασκευαστη του δεκτη) που θα ειχε καθε συμφερον να την κανει, αλλα απο μια ομαδα που η ιδια η dream στο παρελθον δεν αναγνωριζε τα λογισμικα που παραγει. Μηπως τελικα ομως δεν ειναι ετσι τα πραγματα;;;; Τα γεγονοτα τουλαχιστον αυτο αποδεικνυουν..η λογικη λεει οτι μονο μια θυγατρικη της επισημης εταιριας (αν οχι η ιδια) θα ειχε συμφερον να φτασει στο σημειο να βαλει time bomber σε μη γνησια μηχανηματα...

Στο παρελθον με ανακοινωσεις της η συγκεκριμενη ομαδα ειχε προτεινει στους χρηστες της να χρησιμοποιουν μονο τα γνησια μηχανηματα και ως αυτο το σημειο ειναι κατι το φυσιολογικο.. (μια ομαδα να προτρεπει δηλαδη τους χρηστες να χρησιμοποιουν τα μηχανηματα της εταιριας που εχει αναπτυξει την τενολογια πανω στην οποια βασιζεται).

Το ζητημα φυσικα δεν φτανει ως εκει..Παει πολυ παραπερα..
Και φυσικα φτανει μεχρι την πειρατεια, αφου πανω στο λογισμικο της gemini και των αλλων ομαδων που φταχνουν ανεπισημα firmware για τον dreambox στηριζεται η χρηση διαφορων emulators τα οποια αφηνουν ανοιχτα παραθυρα για διαφορες χρησεις του δεκτη...

Για αυτον το λογω αλλωστε η μαμα dream multimedia δεν αποδεχτηκε ποτε οτι εχει σχεσεις με τις εν λογω ομαδες κατασκευης firmware...


Η ομαδα φυσικα μετα τις αντιδρασεις που υπηρξαν απο τη στιγμη που εσκασε η time bomb εκανε δηλωσεις οτι περι υπερβολικης αντιδρασης και λαθους,(Μαλιστα δηλωσε οτι δεν ηταν στις προθεσεις της να δημιουργησει τετοιο χαος κ.τ.λ...). Το κακο ειχε ομως ηδη γινει και το μονο που προσπαθουσε ουσιαστικα ηταν να μη χασει περεταιρω την αξιοπιστια της..
Παραθετω και την ανακοινωση της στα αγγλικα ωστε να μπορεσει να διαμορφωσει και ο αναγνωστης μια καλυτερη εικονα..

Our intension was to push a general dision to create a consciousness on the clone and reproduction problem and to disasociate us from the clones, too. In the context of our possibilities as image developer we have used the one and only available possibility to make our point of view clear. As image-developer we have absolutly no influence on sponsors, dealers or Dream Multimedia. Our influence on the persons and companies involved in this relationship is very limited and lacked also on support from some places.
